Lars Mikkelsen

Lars MikkelsenAt the age of 27, he was enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark where he was graduated in the year 1995. Apart from his role in the drama show telecast globally as The Killing, he subsequently played in two other internationally popular Danish drama series, Those Who Kill and Borgen III.He also had a leading role in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. He played the role of Russia's president on the American television show House of Cards. He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his part in the Danish television drama Herrens Veje, which was shown in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm. Mikkelsen can speak fluent English, Swedish, German and Danish as well as his mother tongue. He also has picked up several accents. He claims that he and his brother first began to learn English through listening to Monty Python records and learning the comedy sketches
