Hossack grew up in Steinbach Winnipeg, in Canada. Her first experience with musical theater began as a young student at Killarney in Manitoba. As she started her studies at Brandon University, she was the piano major. Her major changed into Voice. Then, she tried acting and in the end, she said she had only been interested in acting by the time she completed her graduation. Banff School of Fine Arts was the next destination after she completed her studies at Brandon. Hossack when she finished her college studies and performing on stage, was a star in Ontario and Winnipeg. Other World (1989-1992), Cobra (1993-1992) Other World (1989-1992), Cobra (1993-1992), Rent (1996), Hope Island (1999) Then Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital 2004. In 2006, she was a guest star in the role of Falcon Beach on Canadian television. Hossack appeared on Sliders and Mysterious Ways. In the TV series Reaper, she played Mrs. Oliver. Deanna Campbell was also her mother Mary Winchester, and maternal great-grandmother and maternal grandmother to Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester.
