Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. She is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native who was born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer at an early stage. When she was in 1992, the actress appeared at her first audition, and was able to win an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she got her first role in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Then Bell also started private acting lessons. Bell played a brief, uncredited role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music as well as drama. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the starring Dorothy part. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre upon graduating. in 2001 Bell left university to perform the part as Becky in Tom Sawyer. The was the same year that she also made her first credited debut with Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. Bell was seen with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
